If you bother to read the Terms Of Use and Privacy Policy for this application, which I believe you should always do with any contract that agree to. You will notice a huge contradiction in their legal mumbo jumbo.
The terms state that you have sole discretion over any content that you create in the app, and that you unequivocally own all content you create. But here is where it turns to garbage. A little lower down you will read, that by using the application, you give this company, Moment Catcher, non-transferrable, royalty-free rights, to display, modify, and most importantly, SELL, any content that you create in this application! Wait, what?! You first say that we own all rights to any content we create in this app. Then follow that up by saying that we dont own anything, you own it all.
This is why TOS contracts are utter garbage. It basically requires you to have a law degree to understand anything, then if you do, they pull some kind switcheroo like this! I was actually happy that they openly displayed their TOS so I didnt have to go and hunt it down. But, now I am just not comfortable at all using this application. I could possibly be mistaken about what this contract is saying. But that is the problem with this kind of legal gibberish! If I am reading this incorrectly, I would ask that the developer please clarify this issue for me.
I will be happy to revise my rating and review, if it turns out that I am incorrect in understanding what their TOS is saying. But if I am correct, well, Id advise users to be very weary of what they create and upload or share in this application, because as far as I can see, you have no rights over your intellectual property created in this app. Once again, if the developer will please clarify this, it would really be beneficial to myself and I am sure anyone else who is as confused as I am, about this apparent legalese doublespeak, thank you.
